The man best known as the Chief Executive of the FAI, John Delaney will face a stern grilling today when he appears in front of the Oireachtas Committee on Transport, Tourism and Sport.
Delaney has come under immense pressure after it emerged that he loanded the FAI €100,000 to help it through what he described as a “short-term cash flow problem”.
It’s understood that this will be discussed in detail during today’s meeting as to just why the FAI would have a cash flow problem in the first place.
Yesterday, Sport Ireland suspended all its funding to the FAI for the foreseeable future.
