Dara Murphy TD reportedly resigns from his Dáil seat over ‘poor attendance’

Dara Murphy, TD for Cork, has reportedly resigned from his position in the Dáil due to a poor attendance record.

The Irish Mirror reports that Mr. Murphy had come under heavy scrutiny over his professional performance, because he dutifully collected his €96,000 yearly wage while hardly ever attending the Dáil or doing any pertinent work.

Mr. Murphy also holds a position in the European People’s Party in Europe, from which he also collects a wage.

Do you think that this TD should reimburse the taxpayer for all the wasted expenditure? Let us know in the comments below.
