Dark clouds above: Forecasters say European heatwave won’t grace Irish shores anytime soon

Anyone thinking that Ireland will be basking in glorious sunshine and scorching temperature’s like our British neighbours will be disappointed this week as forecasters have said the heatwave currently spreading across Europe and reaching the UK won’t be gracing the emerald isle anytime soon.

According to state forecaster Met Eireann the country will see wet and windy conditions for the first part of the week, although conditions are said to improve later week.

Met Éireann has said the week will see wet and windy start however it will be “dry and bright in most areas” by Thursday, although the threat of rain will always be a possibility. The forecaster also says temperatures will be in the high teens at most.

The news will come as a disappointment as our neighbours across the Irish Sea are expected to see temperatures reach a staggering 31C.

I guess it’s the same old story for our unpredictable Irish weather.
