It has been officially confirmed that the upcoming referendums on same-sex marriage and lowering the minimum age for presidential candidates, will be held on May 22nd.
The news comes as the Environment Minister Alan Kelly officially signed the polling order for the referendums last night. The confirmation of the date allows those who are entitled to a postal vote until April 25th to apply for it.
The confirmation also gives time to those who want to vote, but who are not already registered, until May 5 to get registered.
