A number of protests will take place across Dublin today, in an effort to highlight the current homelessness crisis blighting the city.
Grim figures released reveal that 770 adults with 1,185 children were homeless in Dublin last month.
Protests will be held today in Ballyfermot, Ballymun, Tyrellstown, Blanchardstown, Darndale, and O’Devaney Gardens & Croke Villas in Dublin Central.
In a statement, the Department of the Environment has said that Minister Alan Kelly, “is aware of the level of public concern in relation to homeless families and the ending of involuntary long-term homelessness by the end of 2016 is a key objective of this Government.”
