Twenty five fatalities have now been confirmed in the midst of some of the worst wildfires even to burn in California.
Most victims were found in or around the Paradise area, a mountain town north of Los Angeles that has almost been completely destroyed by fire.
Officials fear that the death toll may yet rise.
