The death toll in the Bahamas has risen to 20 in the wake of Hurricane Dorian’s devastating visit to the islands.
Dorian, now certified as the strongest storm ever to pass through the Bahamas, carved a path of widespread destruction as it moved on a north-westerly course across the islands. Twenty people are now confirmed dead, but the death toll is likely to rise further.
Dorian is currently moving northwards along the US’ southeast coast.
