The Defence Forces has announced that a whatsapp message being circulated about a “total lockdown” occurring on Monday is “false and inaccurate”.
Two separate whatsapp messages, one from a woman and one from a man, started to circulate on Thursday evening claiming that Leo Varadkar was going to speak to the nation at 8am on Monday morning declaring a Status Red lockdown.
The Defence Forces have said that the messages are false and that they’ll be helping the HSE when and where needed.
