Peter Boylan has been told to sling his white coat out the door, well not literally.
The former master of Holles St was asked to resign from the board of the National Maternity Hospital via a text message, it’s been revealed.
Boylan said he will not resign after he was asked to leave over his criticism of a Government proposal to build a new maternity hospital on the St Vincent’s hospital site in Dublin and hand over ownership to the Sisters of Charity.
So far the hospital has said that Boylan has a duty of loyalty to its board.
