Denmark has dropped the Johnson & Johnson Covid-19 vaccine from its roll-out programme amid concerns over blood clotting incidents.
In an announcement the Danish Government confirmed that it will not use the vaccine which amounts to a third of the country’s overall supply.
The Danish Government said: “The benefits of using the COVID-19 vaccine from Johnson & Johnson do not outweigh the risk of causing the possible adverse effect in those who receive the vaccine.”
The Government’s decision comes just a month after they decided to stop distributing the AstraZeneca Covid-19 vaccine over similar concerns.
