The Department of Foreign Affairs have confirmed that they are providing consular assistance to the family of man who is missing in Malaysia.
According to RTÉ News, the man Stephen Warde from Kinvara in Co Galway has been missing in the country since New Year.
It is understood Mr Warde, 31, has not made contact with his family since January 1st.
Mr Warde is understood to have arrived in the country on 15 November.
