Get the bread in! Temps to PLUMMET to -5c this week with snow forecast




Temperatures are set to absolutely plummet this week to -5c, according to Met Eireann.

The national forecaster say the weather will get bitterly cold with daytime temps below 0c with snow showers expected.

According to Met Eireann, the cold conditions will arrive as early as Monday with highs between 4-8C.

Snow showers in Western and Northern regions are expected, whilst temperatures are expected to drop to – 1C overnight.

Tuesday will see much of the same as temperatures will remain in the low single digits during the day and snow, sleet and rain showers will move across the country during the day.

Temperatures on Tuesday night will drop to -3C. Meanwhile Wednesday is looking set to be the coldest day of the week as temperatures are expected to drop as low as -5C overnight.

Thursday will be slightly milder with temperatures ranging from 1-7C during the day, whilst snow sleet and rain showers are expected throughout the day.
