“Deport or life sentence” – Uproar at four foreign nationals being convicted of gang raping young Irish girl




The public has being outraged at the horrendous events that four foreign men did on an innocent Irish girl left stranded after a night out.

People have been calling for deportation or a life long sentence in prison – and when they say life, they literally mean life.

Social media users are saying that the girl’s trauma will last for a lifetime and that the evil thugs should see an equivalent sentence in their own life.

Four foreign nationals have been convicted of the gang rape of Irish girl six years ago when their victim was just 17-years-old.

The victim came across the group of foreign rapists in the early morning of December 27th, 2016, the then 17-year-old girl got into a car with five men after she became separated from her friends at the end of a night-out in Tullamore, Co Offaly.

According to the Mirror, Marcos Vinicius De Silva Umbelino (22) of Riverview, Kilbeggan, Co Westmeath, was convicted of sexually assaulting the teen by groping and molesting her on the journey.

He was also convicted of raping her at Harbour Road.

Eduardo Dias Ferreira Filho (24) of Riverview, Kilbeggan, Co Westmeath, was convicted of sexually assaulting her on the initial journey. He was convicted of orally raping the girl at the Whitehall car park, reports the Mirror.

Gabriel Gomes Da Rocha (24) of Mount Armstrong, Rahan, Tullamore, Co Offaly, was convicted of sexually assaulting the girl on the car journey out of Tullamore.

Da Rocha was also found guilty of raping the teenager in the car in Whitehall car park at the same time as Ferreira Filho orally raped her, The Irish Mirror reported.

Irishman Conor Byrne (24) of Ballybeg, Moate, Co Westmeath, was due to go on trial with the other men but pleaded guilty before he could be convicted to raping the girl in the hopes of a more lenient sentence.

Justice Tara Burns remanded the rapists in custody ahead of a sentence hearing on May 30th.
