Deputy Chief Medical Officer Dr Ronan Glynn says there are many reasons for hope

The Deputy Chief Medical Officer Dr Ronan Glynn said that there are many reasons for hope as the country reported its lowest cases since mid December.

Speaking about the road ahead Glynn said that the number of cases are down and the number of hospitalisations is also at its lowest since the end of November.

Glynn said the reduction in numbers is down to the actions of the public who are making a real difference.

The Deputy Chief Medical Officer also said if we continue to maintain this progress whilst the country moves ahead with its vaccination programme we should be able to make our way out of this pandemic.
