The Deputy Chief Medical Officer Dr Ronan Glynn has said that Ireland is moving towards a brighter place as there has been positive effectiveness in the vaccines.
In a post on Twitter, Glynn thanked the public for their efforts which are having an impact in terms of transmission.
Glynn also said that the number of cases are significantly dropping in hospitals across the country and that our incidence rate has improved on a day by day and on a week by week basis.
The Deputy Chief Medical Officer also said that with as the vaccine roll-out ramps up in the coming weeks and months ahead we will have one more very strong tool that will help us through this part of the pandemic and move is to a brighter place.
