In yet another tragedy caused by heatwaves throughout the world, it is alleged that a two-year-old girl has died after being left in a scorching hot minivan in the U.S.
According to the Mirror, police made an attempt to save the little girl who was seen in a car at New Jersey rail station. After breaking one of the car’s windows, they sadly found the little girl was unresponsive and they were tragically unable to save her. The girl’s family are allegedly not facing charges but prosecutors are examining the case.
This is not the first case of a child being left in a car in extreme heat. According to the Mirror, an 18-month-old baby boy was saved from a car after he was heard crying. Firefighters had to crash through the car windows to get the child out.
Cases like this are the reason why officials are constantly advising parents to be careful of their children during periods of extreme weather.
