Gardaí have arrested after he was found to have €234,000 worth of heroin on him whilst walking through a Dublin housing estate.
It is understood the quantity of heroin was discovered when Gardaí searched the man at Priorswood housing estate in Coolock.
Gardaí say the man who tried to flee the scene was subsequently arrested.
He is currently being detained at Coolock Garda Station.
