An alleged plot to burgle the home of the recently deceased entertainer Cilla Black has been foiled, according to one of Ms. Black’s sons.
In a statement, he said: “I cannot believe someone would stoop so low at a time like this. It’s inconceivable. Thankfully it was discovered in time.”
Reportedly, a circular hole that appeared to have been cut very precisely was discovered in the perimeter fence of Ms. Black’s Denham home, ahead of her funeral on August 20. Security at the site has now been stepped up, and all valuables had been moved to a secure location.
The details of Cilla Black’s death were confirmed at her inquest. The well known TV celebrity died from traumatic head injury caused by a fall at her Spain home on August 1.
Her funeral will take place in Liverpool next Thursday at St Mary’s Church, Woolton. She will then be laid to rest in a private ceremony at Allerton Cemetery alongside her parents.
