Post-pandemic sun holidays might be a completely new experience, following the emergence of proposals to maintain social distancing in beaches and other holiday resorts.
These proposals include ‘sunbathing squares‘, which are essentially cordoned-off areas of the beach allocated for individual groups of people. Other plans include segregating people by age group.
It remains to be seen how worthwhile would it be to go abroad to constantly face restrictions everywhere, with some experts claiming that beach attendance might drop by as much as 90%.
