Detective who blew whistle on cover up of child rape gangs calls for police chiefs to face criminal charges

An already imprisoned 29-year-old man has been charged with murder after one of the UK’s most prolific child abusers has been stabbed to death in his cell on last October.

Richard Huckle was serving 22 life sentences at Her Majesty’s Prison Full Sutton in Yorkshire on October 13 last year and on Monday January 13th Humberside Police sent a file to prosecutors after charging Huckle’s unnamed cell mate with his murder.

Huckle was jailed in 2016 for unprecedented number of sex offences against children aged between six and 12 years old.

While working as a freelance photographer Huckle carried out at least 191 acts of sex abuse against children making posts online about how it was easier to abuse impoverished children in Malaysia than those from wealthy Western background. He also sold indecent images of his victims on the dark web.

The depraved paedophile was arrested in Gatwick Airport in 2014 Australian authorities tipped off the UK’s National Crime Agency.
