As freezing cold nights approach, people will be needing to heat their homes, have electricity on longer and will need fuel for the fire.
All that is normal, natural needs for people, however the Green Party would appear to think that it’s only for an elite some as they’re getting the blame for massive winter increase in bills this coming winter.
It’s getting very frustrating to see more energy suppliers raising their prices as the cold winter months approach. The Green Party and its leader, Eamon Ryan, are getting the backlash firmly in the neck over the skyrocketing costs to heat peoples’ homes this winter.
Bord Gais Energy has announced a price rise from the end of October, just in time for the arrival of the cold weather.
According to the company, 300,000 gas and 350,000 electricity customers will be affected by the hike, which will add around €8.16 to these customers’ bills every month.
Bord Gais tried to soften the blow by saying that these prices ‘will hold until Spring 2022.’
