In what can only be described as an absolute disaster for Irish Water, people who have already paid the immoral tax are now saying there is no way they’ll continue to pay the charges and are demanding an immediate refund.
All this comes hot on the heels of a ‘no one knows” scenario quickly emerging in Dail Eireann.
Fine Gael’s Simon Coveney made a thundering bags of a statement last night when he claimed Fine Gael would reconsider the water charges.
This in turn came after Fianna Fail said they’ll at least push water charges down the road a number of years.
Meanwhile, Enda Kenny said today that he is demanding people pay Irish Water charges even if its future is uncertain.
Edgar Mitchell, a Limerick resident told The Liberal
“I’ve paid water charges from day 1, but no more. I won’t pay another cent and I want a full refund immediately”.
