Google’s parent company Alphabet has announced job cuts to the tune of 12,000 staff worldwide.
US staff will be laid off immediately, with international layoffs happening over the coming weeks.
Google employs around 5,000 people in Ireland, and it’s unclear if any of these positions will be affected.
