The disgraced ex-boss of the Olympic Committee of Ireland (OCI) remains in Brazil today, as his passport has not yet been returned to his possession.
It was expected that Mr. Hickey would receive his passport back yesterday, Friday, but this did not happen, due to unspecified reasons.
It will now be Monday at the earliest when Mr. Hickey receives his passport.
A surety bond of €410,000 was lodged with a Brazilian court so Mr. Hickey could return to Ireland for medical treatment.
The Association of National Olympic Committee (ANOC) put the money forward.
