A jury has found disgraced former President Donald Trump liable for sexual abuse and defamation, and ordered him to pay $5m to E. Jean Carroll.
The twice impeached, criminally charged former President did not attend court, choosing instead to flee to Ireland and Scotland while the trial was ongoing.
Mr. Trump is facing a string of legal challenges stemming from a life of criminality.
