A total of 27 puppies have thankfully been found in Scotland where they were trapped in a small cage, hidden away from authorities at Cairnyran ferry port in Scotland.
The dogs are now being looked after by the Irish Society for Prevention of Cruelty to Aniamls (ISPCA).
It’s understood that their breeds include cross-bred Chihuahuas, Spaniels and Collies, all of which are believed to have been illegally bred here in Ireland.
The dogs were not microchipped but the ISPCA said that they will look after the puppies and try and find good owners for them over the next month.
Althought a disgraceful tail, the good news is that the puppies are safe and well now.
