It has emerged that Bord Gais underestimated the installation of water meters by an enormous €100 million. The company claimed it would cost €431 million in 2012, but just one week later a real figure of €539 meant that the government had budgeted for less than €100 than was originally expected.
An absolute disgraceful piece of public information which will no doubt add further salts into the wounds of people who condemn this immoral tax already.
December 10th is expected to surpass this months National Water Protests, with an expected 150,000 people to come to the captial and to march around the country.
