Najib Mikati, the acting prime minister of Lebanon, has denounced the attack on an army installation located in the southern region of the nation.
He continued: “This persistent Israeli crime against Lebanon did not spare today the brave soldiers who are carrying out their national duty in protecting the land and defending the people,” reports RTE.
Israel did not immediately respond to the most recent report.

Israel’s downfall is Hezbollah’s top aim, a group official said.
The chief of Hezbollah’s communications office, Mohammad Afif, has stated that the organization’s top goal at the moment is to defeat Israel’s military, reports RTE.
Hezbollah, he said, is amenable to all initiatives aimed at putting an end to “the aggression”.
Speaking in front of the debris of demolished houses behind him, Afif stated, “Tel Aviv is only the start, Israel has only seen so little,” at a live press conference in the southern suburbs of Beirut.
“At this point, defeating the adversary and compelling them to cease their actions is our top goal, reports RTE.
“However, any internal or external political effort to achieve a cessation of aggression is appreciated as long as it is consistent with our comprehensive vision of the battle, its circumstances and its results,” he said, reports RTE.
Alert sirens blast throughout the northwest of Israel.
There are now several locations in northwest Israel where air raid sirens are sounding, reports RTE.
The Israeli army said that dozens of rockets had been launched from Lebanon.
It was determined that some 80 missiles were entering Israeli territory from Lebanon. A portion of the missiles were deflected. It stated, “Fallen projectiles were identified,” reports RTE.
