According to various reports it is understood that disgraceful vandals in south Dublin are trying extort money from local residents in order to keep their cars safe.
It ia believed that local residents living Crumlin-Kimmage area have become victims of a cruel protection racket as ruthless thugs are threatening to damage there vehicles unless they receive a €50 payment. The situation has caused many residents to park their cars in Crumlin garda station overnight because they fear their vehicle may be vandalised or stolen.
Meanwhile Gardaí have encouraged anyone living in the area who has been threatened by the ruthless thugs to report the matter to their nearest Garda station.
