Animal lovers have been left outraged after two kittens were found drowning in a plastic bag in Co Donegal.
According to a post on the Donegal Animals in Need Facebook page, the two kittens were found in water filled bag in a bin outside a takeaway in Ballybofey, in the early hours of Thursday morning.
Although the two week old kittens were rescued by passers-by, the animal charity say they had been left in a state of shock following incident.
The charity say the kittens who have been assessed have been placed in the care of cat who recently give birth to three kittens at the centre.
