As Ireland continues to take in migrants left, right and centre, our own citizens are perishing on the streets and living in hotel rooms around the country.
It can only be a sad indictment of any Government when almost ten thousand people are listed as homeless.
The figures, according to RTE, say that 9,987 people are existing with no home, or are living in emergency accommodation.
Out of that, 3,624 are children.
The hapless Minister for Housing, Eoghan Harris, admitted that the figures are ‘disappointing.’
