Wicklow County Council have allegedly sent up to 500 letters to social housing residents telling them that they could be evicted if they don’t pay the water charges.
This despicable scare tactic was commented by one resident as “being the last straw” and another saying it was a “totalitarian state”.
The water charges protests are said to be gaining more traction with major protests planned for November 1st.
