There is widespread disruption for Irish Rail customers as the main between Skerries and Balbriggan.
In an announcement made in the past hour Irish Rail confirmed that the line will be closed for some time as a fire broke out close to the track.
The company say it may take some time before the line is re-open.
They added further updates will be published on their website throughout the day.
