The price of a Lotto and Lotto Plus ticket will increase under new rules set out by the National Lottery.
In announcement Lottery chiefs confirmed that the price of a two line plus draws ticket will increase from €5 to €6.
However those who opt not to play the plus draws will not see any increase under the new changes.
The National Lottery say the price increase will come into effect as the top prize in the Lotto Plus 1 draw will be raised from €500,000 to €1m.
They added further details about the changes will be announced over the next few weeks.
