A Florida police officer’s body camera’s footage has been released showing a 6-yr-old Florida girl roaring crying and begging officers not to arrest her as one fastens zip ties tightly around her wrists at a school, allegedly for throwing a tantrum.
The video footage was released by Kaia Rolle’s family with the Orlando Sentinel and other media outlets Stateside. The frightening footage shows the girl being arrested in September for kicking and punching staff members at her Orlando charter school.
“What are those for?” the little girl asks about the zip ties in the video.
“They’re for you,” Officer Dennis Turner says before another officer tightens them around her wrists and Kaia begins to roar crying, begging for help.
Turner was fired shortly after the arrest. Orlando Police Chief Orlando Rolon said at the time that Turner, who was only a reserve officer, didn’t remotely follow department policy of getting the approval of a watch commander to arrest someone younger than 12 years old.
“Help me. Help me, please!” Kaia begs for anyone to help her and doesn’t understand what’s going on.
She begs and she cries, “I don’t want to go in a police car.” as police dragged her to the car.
“Please, give me a second chance,” Kaia pleads but to no avail. Officer Turner then picks her and practically throws her into the car.
