The 45th President of the United States is setting his sights high on a second run to the Oval Office, by all accounts.
President Donald Trump is launching his own social media platform called “Social Truth”.
It’s part of a wider technology base named Trump Media and Technology Group.
He was almost forced into starting the platform after he was banned for life from various other social media sites.
A soft launch is expected next month with a widespread launch expected thereafter. It all plays into expected rumours that Donald Trump will run for the Presidency again in 2024.
Speaking of his venture, President Trump said:
“I created TRUTH Social and TMTG to stand up to the tyranny of Big Tech,” Mr Trump, banned from Twitter and Facebook for stoking the 6 January US Capitol attack, was quoted as saying in the statement.
“We live in a world where the Taliban has a huge presence on Twitter, yet your favorite American President has been silenced. This is unacceptable.”
