Around 4:45am this morning, a car crash occurred in Dreenan, Ballbofey, where a teenage girl has died after a car she was in hit a ditch.
The teenage girl who was only 19-years-old, was the front seat passenger who was badly injured when the car hit a ditch. The driver who is a 19-year-old boy was also injured in the accident.
Diversions are set in place but the road is closed to clear the way for Gardai Forensic Collision Investigators.
Anyone who is travelling in the area Gardai are appealing for witnesses and anyone who may have any information surrounding the accident.
