Donohoe: “Scrapping the current Lansdowne Road agreement would cost in the region of €300m




The Minister for Public Expenditure Paschal Donohoe has revealed that the cost of scrapping the current Lansdowne Road agreement would cost in the region of €300m to €360m.

Mr Donohoe who made his comments earlier today also said it is impossible quote a figure for any replacement deal, because nobody knows what it pay increase it would contain.

Mr Donohoe said: “I’m not in a position to give you a cost, a figure, to a proposal that ICTU might make to me in the future.”

“But what the figures are overall is that the cost of any kind of adjustment in relation to the Lansdowne Road Agreement per month is between €25m and €30m.”
