Doris maybe gone – but the country is expected to see more miserable weather over the weekend

During the middle part of this week particularly on Wednesday and Thursday the country was battered with high winds and heavy rainfall from storm Doris, but just as we thought the bad weather was gone for awhile we are now set for a miserable weekend ahead.

According to Met Éireann the weather all across the country will become very changeable over the weekend and into the early days of next week.

It is expected the vast majority of the country will see outbreaks of rain throughout the day today, with heavy rain and wind expected overnight.

Meanwhile on Saturday the day will start off wet and windy with strong and gusty southerly winds and rain expected in all areas.

Although it will get brighter with winds becoming calmer in the afternoon and early evening. It is expected temperatures will drop to sub zero on Sunday as the next week will become a lot colder.
