There was some good news announced recently as it was confirmed that teenager Kym Owens who was the victim of a vicious attack last November, has been released from hospital and is now recovering at home.
Ms Owens who came to the nations attention just before Christmas after being viciously attacked near her student accommodation in Maynooth, is said to be recovering well after she sustained a number of injuries which left her in an induced coma.
It is now believed that Ms Owens from Castleblayney, Co Monaghan, returned hone earlier this month were she is currently being cared for by her parents.
Meanwhile Gardaí say an investigation is still currently ongoing in order to find Kym’s attacker, they say they have questioned oved 300 individuals in relation to the case and are following a number of leads.
