Pfizer’s Viagra pill, known for helping men with erectile dysfunction, has been used in a Covid-19 coma patient.
According to the Mail Online, double-vaxxed 37-year-old Monica Almeida contracted Covid-19, was diagnosed with pneumonia and spent 28 days in a medically induced coma before being treated with Viagra as part of an experimental treatment program. She had caught an infection and needed to have a tracheotomy. She also suffered from asthma.
Almeida, who works as a nurse in the UK, was only three days away from having her ventilator switched off when she started to recover. Her parents had even been contacted and advised to travel from Portugal to see her and say goodbye.
It is thought that the large dose of Viagra that Monica received helped to dilate the blood vessels in her lungs and helped her breathing improve. She was finally allowed to return home on Christmas Eve after a recovery that she described as her “Christmas miracle”.
Tests are now ongoing to see if Viagra can be used to boost oxygen levels and help patients like Monica recover by opening up their airwaves and in other ways.
Following her traumatic ordeal, double-jabbed Monica is urging other people to get the vaccine.
