The director of the National Virus Reference Laboratory, Dr Cillian de Gascun has warned that international travel is a greater risk than indoor dining.
Speaking to RTE, Dr de Gascun said that the Government must be cautious when it comes to reopening society and in particular international travel.
Although de Gascun admitted that international travel was a big part of returning to normality, he warned that we as a country must reduce the number of variants entering the country.
He added that all non essential international travel should be avoided as travelling has many unknowns.
