The Chief Medical Officer Dr Tony Holohan has revealed that 90% of those diagnosed with Covid-19 have recovered.
Speaking at the National Public Health Emergency Team briefing Dr Holohan said that the vast majority of diagnosed with the virus have since recovered.
Although Dr Holohan said that there was still a long way to go in regards to suppressing the virus, he said the recovery figures were promising.
Dr Holohan also said that current measures are working, but he moved to remind people to keep washing their hands and to adhere to social distancing measures.
