The Chief Medical Officer Dr Tony Holohan has urged anyone who may have Covid-19 symptoms to contact their GP immediately.
Dr Holohan said that anyone with Covid-19 or even flu like symptoms should seek medical attention immediately and they shouldn’t leave it to chance.
He also says that now is not the time for a wait and see approach and people should also self isolate if they are feeling unwell.
Dr Holohan’s comments come after 1,024 cases and 12 further Covid-19 related deaths were announced on Sunday.
