There certainly won’t be a White Christmas this year, as the weather is set to remain rather mild for the time of year.
Met Eireann says that Christmas Day is likely to be dry overall, with temperatures reaching 10-11C at times.
A similar weather pattern will repeat itself on St. Stephen’s Day, when temperatures may even reach 12C in the afternoon.
