Dublin Bus strike: No eleventh hour solution in sight

Commuter chaos looms ahead of the 48-hour long bus strike scheduled for Thursday and Friday this week.

With no last minute solution in sight, the stoppage is almost certain to happen.

The dispute arose after Dublin Bus unions rejected a Labour Court recommendation of a general 8.25% pay award over three years for all employees.

Last bus services will depart at 9pm tonight. Further work stoppages are planned for the next few weeks if no agreement is reached.
