Dublin is NOT safe: Man charged after yet another victim gets beaten into intensive care




In the early hours of Friday morning, a man was seriously assaulted in Dublin city centre, and another man in his 30s has been charged in connection with this incident.

The victim, a man in his 20s, is currently in critical condition in hospital. The charged man is set to appear in court this morning, reports The Mirror.

Gardai are investigating this matter and have appealed for any witnesses to come forward, especially those who may have recorded video footage of the incident.

A Garda spokesperson told The Irish Mirror: “Gardaí in Pearse Street have charged the man (aged in his 30s) who was arrested yesterday morning, Friday 29th September 2023, following the serious assault of a man on Dawson Street, Dublin 2,” reports The Mirror.

He is due to appear before the Criminal Courts of Justice this morning, Saturday 30th September 2023 at 10.30am. The injured man (20s) remains in a critical condition in Beaumont Hospital. Gardaí continue to appeal to anyone with information in relation to this incident to come forward. Anyone who was in the vicinity of Dawson Street on Friday morning, between 1.30am and 2.00am, and who may have camera footage (including dash-cam) is asked to make this available to investigating Gardaí,”the spokesperson added, reports The Mirror.
