Dublin prison officer charged with drink driving after crashing outside Dublin jail

A collision outside a Dublin jail on St. Stephen’s Day resulted in the charging of a prison guard with reckless and intoxicated driving, reports Independent.

Today, Mihai Neag, 46, showed up in Blanchardstown District Court to face charges related to a single car accident that happened close to the Cloverhill and Wheatfield jail complex.

Judge David McHugh remanded him on continued bail and ruled that, for security purposes, the accused’s residential address must not be made public.

Mr. Neag faces charges related to operating a vehicle at Cloverhill Road, Clondalkin, while intoxicated or over the legal alcohol limit, reports Independent.
