People aren’t happy! An Post rises price of domestic stamps again – up to €1.40 per stamp

From the beginning of next month, An Post will raise the price of domestic stamps by five cents, reports Breaking News.

The cost of a national stamp will increase to €1.40, or 3.7%.

This comes after a price increase in January of last year, when prices increased from €1.25 to €1.35.

The price of the national digital stamp, which was launched back in 2022, and the worldwide letter stamp, which is presently priced at €2.20, will remain unchanged, reports Breaking News.

Nevertheless, there will be an increase in some other rates, such as those for registered mail and large envelopes.

An Post has attributed this most recent price hike on the growing costs of energy, fuel, and transportation.

“These increases are necessary to cover rising costs and ensure service continuity and innovation on par with the best in Europe,” said Garrett Bridgeman, Managing Director of An Post Commerce, reports Breaking News.
