A man remains in a critical condition following a shooting incident in farmland near Tallaght earlier today.
The victim, a male in his 30s, sustained serious head injuries and was rushed to Tallaght Hospital for treatment.
A male in his 50s has been arrested in connection with this incident.
Gardai believe that the incident might have been sparked by a row over a dog. The animal was also shot dead at the scene.
